Winds will be a concern over the next couple of days. This will lead to an elevated fire danger throughout the week as well. A storm will drop into Northern New Mexico Wednesday and Thursday. The best shot at showers will be over the Four Corners and Northern Mountains. However, those shower chances are spotty at best as this storm will not carry a lot of moisture. Behind the storm, colder air will filter in, allowing daytime highs to drop below average Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures recover this weekend, but another storm will pass through the southern tier of the state. Despite this track, it appears at this point that it will do a decent job of pulling up moisture, leading to more widespread, wetting rains.
