Pino fire continues to burn in Valencia County


VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Crews fighting the Pino Fire south of Belen will be closely watching the weather as the fire continues to burn.

The fire started Friday afternoon and has burned more than 50 acres according to nm state forestry.

About six structures west of the Rio Grande near the Socorro/Valencia County line are threatened by the fire.

Officials say the fire may have been started by a human.

The investigation into how and who started the fire is ongoing.
