City takes Anonymous cyber threat seriously

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Anonymous is calling for action against Albuquerque demanding a protest at police headquarters this weekend.

The cyber superpower which is known for its attacks against government and banking websites has caught the city’s attention in a YouTube video.

It was posted earlier this week in response to the fatal foothills shooting of James Boyd.

The video also directs people to download software to harm two of the city’s websites.

City officials say they’re taking the threats seriously and have contacted the feds.
