ABQ exhibit honors Vivian Vance

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque native Vivian Vance is best known for her role as Ethel in I Love Lucy and now you can see glimpses of her life at a new exhibit that will only be in the duke city.

The exhibit called everybody’s neighbor is at the Albuquerque Museum.

The history curator says Vance performed plays in Albuquerque while she lived here.

Fans helped raise money for her to head to New York where she eventually landed the role as Ethel in I Love Lucy.

The exhibit features photos of her as an actress but also about her life in New Mexico.

It won’t be traveling so this is the only opportunity to see the exhibit.

It closes January 31 2015.
