John’s Friday Afternoon Forecast

There will be less wind this afternoon, but it will remain breezy today. Temperatures will still be on the cooler side today. Then a warm up into the weekend. Saturday is going to be a very nice day with plenty of sunshine, less wind, and warmer temps. One exception will be the northeast, where winds will still be on the breezy to occasionally windy side.

Sunday will be even warmer, but the winds will return. Gusts could reach up to 50 mph across eastern New Mexico as a storm passes to our north. The winds come down on Monday, as well as the temperatures. This will be the trend for much of next week. Several storms will pass to the north, taking much of the rain and snow with it. While New Mexico stays dry, we remain breezy to windy much of the week. This will lead to fire concerns for Sunday and most of next week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
