ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A member of the Isleta Pueblo was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for discharging a firearm during a violence crime, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Paul Martin, 29, was arrested in April 2013 and has been in custody ever since. According to police, Martin assaulted another Isleta Pueblo man by shooting him multiple times with a handgun. He later pleaded guilty to charges of using a firearm in a violent crime.
After his sentence is completed, Martin will have three years of supervised release.
