Weird NM fact gets national attention

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s a strange New Mexico story you may not have heard that has made the Huffington Post’s Weird Facts.

In 1995, the state senate passed a measure requiring psychologists and psychiatrists to dress up as wizards and wave a magic wand around when testifying in court.

Former Republican Senator Duncan Scott was behind the bill saying he was annoyed with the frequency of these experts being used as witnesses at trial.
