New hearing planned for proposed tap room

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The two bar owners who want to open a tap room in nob hill say they’ll try again, despite a denial by the zoning department.

Adam Krafft, owner of ABQ Brew Pub and Rich Webber, owner of Sierra Blanca and Rio Grande Brewing wanted to open the alien tap room on Central and Wellesley, but nearby residents argued against the move because the main entrance would be right next to homes.

The cities agree with them, saying zoning didn’t allow it.

Krafft and Webber are asking for an exception, hoping to bring back to live the long vacant building.

The appeals board is scheduled to re-hear the case Tuesday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
