Man in anti-Semitic vandalism case sent to prison hospital

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The man accused of leaving hateful messages at a Jewish deli in Nob Hill is being sent to a federal prison hospital in North Carolina.

Both defense attorneys and federal prosecutors have raised questions about 58-year-old John Ng’s competency.

During a hearing Friday, Ng’s lawyer argued that he was not a threat. But a judge disagreed and ordered ng to the prison hospital for help.

Ng is charged with a federal hate crime for writing Jewish slurs on mailing labels and then placing them on the deli’s door back in January.
