NM man arrested in Texas accused of rape

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A New Mexico man was arrested in Texas, accused of sexually assaulting a teen boy.

Mathew Williams, 34, is facing sexual assault charges.

Bexar County sheriff’s officials say Williams was pulled over in San Antonio early Thursday morning with a 16-year-old boy.

Williams told the deputy he was in town for a funeral, but deputies say they later determined Williams had met the boy online before the trip and the teen told the deputy they had sex.

Williams is being held on a $75,000 bond.
