The service dog that was hurt when it was thrown from an SUV that crashed is in critical condition. Bernalillo county sheriff’s deputies think the driver, Leonard Day, was drunk. He’s now in jail facing extreme animal cruelty charges.
Some good news when it comes to teens and drinking. A new study from the state says the number of teens who admitted to downing enough drinks to get drunk dropped from about 1 in 3 in 2003 to 1 in 6 in 2013. The number who admit to drinking and driving is down too. The state says it’s because of more awareness and prevention campaigns.
It was a barn burner, the NMSU Aggies taking on the San Diego State Aztecs yesterday.The Aggies kept the game close the whole time and sent it to overtime, but in the end couldn’t beat the powerful Aztecs. The final score was 73-69.
