Board approves APS renovation funding

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque School Board has approved millions in renovation funds to makeover some of Albuquerque’s oldest schools.

Approximately $20 million will go towards renovating the cafeteria at Collete Park Elementary and creating a new kindergarten building and updated cafeteria for Douglas Macarthur Elementary.

West Mesa High School and Reginald Chavez Elementary will also get new classrooms.

If approved construction on Collette and Macarthur could begin in the next few months.
