Woman dies in rollover crash

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A woman in a rollover crash that trapped her under a vehicle at the intersection of Comanche and Pan American on Tuesday morning has died, according to APD.

Upon officers’ arrival to the scene around 3:30 a.m., they were informed the woman in her early 20s had died. The on-call fatal team was notified and has taken over the investigation, police say.

APD officer Tasia Martinez said the woman had been traveling north on Pan American when her car rolled. Officers say they determined she was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The woman’s name has not been released at this time, and it’s unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The northbound I-25 frontage road at Comanche was closed for a few hours early Tuesday morning, but has since reopened.
