Fired education assistant may get license revoked


ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Public Education Department is now considering action against an educational assistant charged with rape.

Carlos Ventura-Garcia, 29, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student at Valley High School where he worked.

He’s been fired from APS, now the PED which licenses educational assistants is taking a look at the case to see if Ventura-Garcia’s license will be suspended or revoked.

He had worked at valley high since 2011.
