FCC to fund broadband service for parts of NM

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Federal Communications Commission plans on giving millions of dollars to put broadband service in uncovered areas of New Mexico.

The areas include Picuris Pueblo in Taos County and Navajo Nation which spans New Mexico, Arizona and Utah.

The FCC is giving more than $5.1 million to two wireless companies to expand coverage.
