Warning issued on NM fire conditions

Obama's budget could help with NM wildfires

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – A hazardous weather outlook issued by the National Weather Service for Monday warns of dangerous fire conditions in northern and central New Mexico.

The warning will be in effect from noon to 9 p.m. and is the result of single-digit humidity levels and gusty winds.

Forecasters in Albuquerque say the most critical fire conditions are expected from the central highlands to the northeast plains.

More strong winds are expected from a strong cold front that is expected to move through the Four Corners region by early evening and advance eastward Monday night and Tuesday morning.
