ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A teenager, who killed two men at a Christmas party claiming it was self-defense, has been found guilty.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that 19-year-old Joe Rivera was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of 23 year-old John Griego and voluntary manslaughter in the death of 29-year-old Nicholas Baker.
He shot the two men outside Greigo’s home on Christmas Day 2012.
Rivera claimed he was defending himself and his 16-year-old brother
Rivera could face up to 30 years in prison.
