ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Well the table has been set for the Lobos as they play Stanford on friday in the big dance, now it’s time for Coach Craig Neal’s gang to show up to the party and stay awhile.

“You know hopefully our defense will continue to get better and our guys will be locked in. Really, really happy where our guys mind set” Coach Neal said.

Last year, Lobo fans had their hearts broken after a second round loss to Harvard. For seniors Kendall Williams and Cameron Bairstow, the focus on executing plays and being mentally prepared will be a key for success.

“Going in there with the mind set that we are trying to be in there as long as possible. Compete as hard as we can because I don’t think last year that’s really where our focus was. If anything you can take out of unfinished business is kind of a aggressive mind set that this is our last chance,” Williams said.

Bairstow also knows how important it is to stay focused because he realizes his college basketball playing career can come to a swift end.

“All I know is that I have this season, and I am not sure where I will be, so all I can do is focus on this season,” Bairstow said.

The Lobos battle Harvard at 11:40 a.m. Friday on TBS.
