Mark’s Friday night forecast

Showers will continue across central and northern New Mexico through the early overnight hours as a storm slowly clears the state.

Scattered storms are the likely impact in the city with snow levels in the mountains dropping to elevations around 7,500′. Don’t be surprised if some of the resorts pick up 3″-6″ of snow.

Early Saturday the storm will clear the state but that break won’t last long.

Another storm will drop out of Colorado into eastern New Mexico on Saturday afternoon. This system will main effect the eastern half of the state with scattered showers and mountain snow showers. The big impact in the metro area will be the winds. We could see gusts top 50 mph late Saturday.

On the positive side, skies clear on Sunday and winds will calm down. We will remain dry through much of next week.
