DOH: Child Chickenpox cases up

New guidelines to help spot child abuse

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – More children in the Albuquerque metro area are coming down with Chickenpox.

According to the State Department of Health, they have investigated eight reported cases since last month.

That’s compared to just three cases in that age group for all of 2013.

Health officials say most of those children were not vaccinated. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
