Mark’s Wednesday evening forecast

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A storm system will gather to our west over the next 24 hours and then roll through the state Friday. This system will favor the northern mountains for the heaviest snow. Meanwhile, in the metro area, we will have scattered showers Friday afternoon. This won’t be a big time storm, but it will have enough punch to bring widespread showers to northern and central areas.

Right on the heels of this system will be another colder storm that will drop into the eastern part of the state. From the central mountain chain eastward, the chance of showers will jump up both Saturday and Sunday. Look for the east slopes of our mountain ranges to pick up the heaviest snow. The eastern plains could do quite well with widespread rain. More to come Thursday! provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
