LANL looks for new options for its waste

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. (KRQE) – Los Alamos National Lab is now looking at other ways to get toxic waste off its campus.

LANL’s nearly 4,000 barrels of waste are stored outside with little protection.

LANL agreed to have it removed from the area by June and was ahead of schedule shipping it down to WIPP when the plant closed.
