AG: Pardoned felons can carry concealed guns

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Felons who are pardoned can carry concealed handguns according to a new opinion from the state attorney general.

Gary King says the person is no longer considered convicted under the state law on concealed carry.

King issued the opinion at the request of Gorden Eden who was the public safety secretary at the time. He’s now the Albuquerque police chief.
