3 animals die in duplex fire

CANON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. (KRQE) – No humans were hurt, but officials confirm three animals died in a recent fire on Canon Air Force Base.

The fire happened at the base’s west housing development over the weekend.

A duplex was badly damaged displacing two families.

Officials say two dogs and a cat died in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation and the affected families have been relocated to other units.
