ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is now in police custody accused of holding his wife captive for four days.
It took a four-hour standoff to get him.
Officers were called to the couple’s home at 641 San Pablo southeast Monday morning after the woman escaped and ran to neighbors for help.
The woman says she confronted her husband Luis Menza about his drug use and he beat her, threatened her with knife and held her against her will since last Thursday.
Menza surrendered after hours of negotiating.
He has been arrested before for domestic violence.
