850 new homes to be built on West Side

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A massive new housing development will soon be going up on Albuquerque’s WestSide.

Pulte homes is behind the Del Webb Project which is set to include more than 500 homes catering to baby boomers heading toward retirement.

Another 350 homes will be built for families just north of 98th and I-40 near the new APS Westside stadium.

Despite the Albuquerque area’s slow economic recovery, Pulte is confident the project will be successful.

“The Albuquerque market in particular is where you can be this close to a metro area and still buy homes at an affordable rate compared to some other parts of the country,” said Garret Price of Pulte homes.

The new neighborhoods are scheduled to open early next year with pre-sales starting later this year.
