Change your clocks and check your alarms

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Don’t forget to move your clocks ahead one hour this weekend for the start of Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday March 9, 2014 at 2:00 a.m.

According to Albuquerque Fire Department, changing to Daylight Saving Time is also a good time to test your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

AFD says citizens should also change the batteries in these devices if necessary.

To ensure these alarms are working correctly, AFD says citizens should test them every month. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
