Man ordered to stay away from state rep

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A former state cop, deputy, and security guard at the Roundhouse must stay away from a State Representative permanently.

That’s according to the Albuquerque Journal a state district judge ruled this morning that Algin Mendez must stay 100 yards away from State Rep. Debbie Rodella and her family at all times.

Mendez was fired from State Police. Afterwards Rio Arriba County Sheriff Tommy Rodella forced him out as deputy of his department after Mendez was caught head-butting people at a casino.

Tommy Rodella is the husband of the state rep.

In court filings, she claims Mendez has been threatening her and her family for years as recently as last October.

Mendez ended up getting hired at the State Capital as a guard.

But Debbie Rodella got a restraining order and he was not allowed near the Roundhouse.
