Woman killed after walking into traffic

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are investigating the death of a woman after she was hit by a vehicle Wednesday evening.

The collision happened just after 6:30 p.m. when emergency officials shut down northbound San Pedro at Indian School.

According to APD, the woman died at the scene.

APD said the woman was possibly on her phone when she walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle. The woman did not have any ID on her but APD believes she is between 25 and 35 years of age.

All streets have been reopened APD said.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
