ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Lobo seniors went out with a bang at The Pit Wednesday night.
They routed the Air Force Falcons 80 to 52 in front of a packed house that made enough noise to reach a decibel level of 121.
All three Lobo seniors scored in their last game in front of the home crowd. Lobos forward Cameron Bairstow led the way with 21 points. It was the 28th time this season that Bairstow scored in double figures. Lobos guard Kendall Williams scored 13 points. It was also his 28th time scoring in double figures. Walk on guard Chris Perez got his first start of his career in his final game at The Pit. He even scored, converting the last bucket of the game.
The victory helped the Lobos to improve to 15 and 2 in conference play and maintain their share of first in the Mountain West.
The Lobos are 24 and 5 overall and at 10th ranked San Diego State Saturday. The game will be a battle for the outright Mountain West title.
