Mark’s Tuesday Evening Forecast

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A relatively weak storm system will clip the northern portion of the state overnight Tuesday night. This will lead to a few inches of snow over the high peaks and at the resorts. We could even see a few spot showers in the metro areas, however, they won’t be significant enough to worry about. Skies will quickly clear for Wednesday and Thursday with temps rising significantly. We could top 70° in the metro area by Thursday.

Friday will signify big-time changes. It is looking more and more likely that another powerful storm will drop into New Mexico for Friday night and Saturday. This storm could well deliver more rain for valley areas and snow for the mountains. The European model has been jumping on this possible scenario for a few days now. Take a look at the liquid precipitation possibility through the weekend. It looks great, no doubt!
