Tourism brings big boost to NM

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A new report shows tourism is providing a big boost to New Mexico’s economy.

The National Park Service says in 2012, 1.5 million people visited places like Carlsbad Caverns, Chaco Canyon and Pecos National Historical Parks.

They also say tourists spend more than $80 million dollars during their stays which helps support thousands of jobs.
