Taste buds sizzle at Fiery Foods Show

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It’s the hottest foods show in the country and officials are hoping enough people traveled to Albuquerque to help break last year’s record attendance.

The 26th annual National Fiery Foods and Barbecue Show sizzled this weekend at the Sandia Resort and Casino.

Visitors were allowed to test the limits of their taste buds with more than 1,000 different products from across the world featured – from gourmet foods, sauces, spices and even some sweet-heat treats.

This year, the hottest chile pepper in the world was added to some dishes.

The event opened its doors Friday and wraps up at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Officials are still tallying up attendance numbers. Last year, 20,500 people attended.
