Ski resorts get good helping of snow

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Ski resorts across the state got a healthy dose of new snow this weekend.

As of Sunday afternoon, Taos Ski Valley was reporting 15 inches of fresh snow in the last 48 hours.

Ski Santa Fe got 13 inches and Sipapu reported 12 inches.

Red River got 11 inches and Ski Apache saw 10 inches, with Angel Fire getting 8 inches.

Those resorts are all still open, but the dry winter forced the early closure of Sandia Ski Area, which saw 6 inches of new snow in the past two days.
