Hiker saved on La Luz Trail in the cold

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The bitter cold Sunday morning nearly cost a hiker his life.

Around 9:30 a.m., a 911 call was made that a hiker on the La Luz Trail was suffering from hypothermia.

State Police Search and Rescue was called and so were Bernalillo County emergency responders.

Sources say the hiker was found and rushed to the hospital.

The hiker’s name and condition have not been released.
