Wet weather comes to NM

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The rain started coming down early Saturday morning in Downtown Albuquerque.

Some people out walking in the rain got a little creative while trying to stay dry.

And for the first time in a while drivers had to use their windshield wipers as they splashed through the metro.

However, other parts of the state saw snow coming down hard in the Jemez Mountains, adding a fresh coat of new snow to the Pajarito Mountain Ski Resort.

Officials expect to see up to 5 inches of new snow today.

Angel fire saw some snow too.

Add in the bitter cold and it didn’t take long for the ski cam there to ice over.

At Taos Ski Valley the winds and falling snow made for white-out conditions.

And Ski Santa Fe was jam-packed with skiers taking advantage of the much anticipated fresh snow this weekend.
