NM guitar crafter dies from aneurysm

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New Mexico must say goodbye to a legend – a member of the famous Pimentel guitar family.

Agustin Pimentel, 63, died suddenly Monday from an aneurysm.

He, his brothers and father have spent decades crafting some of the most sought-after guitars in the world – some so valuable they sell for tens of thousands of dollars.

Agustin’s family says he built countless guitars and they’re confident his soul will be heard through the music that is played on them.

His rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Queen of Heaven Church. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday.
