Volunteers help renovate veteran's home

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Volunteers from the home depot are helping renovate the home of a disabled Iraq war vet and his family

The team helped install a new vanity, shower, bathtub and lighting as well as painting much of the house.

They unveiled their work Thursday.

“This means the world to me and my family if you don’t have the skills and stuff you know my skills are within the military and stuff like that and for other people to come out and help me with their special skills is just amazing,” Joey Campbell said.

Joey Campbell and his wife Amanda are both veterans. They were also presented with a commemorative apron Thursday to display in their family’s home.
