Suspect shot by officer released from hospital

SANTA ROSA, N.M. (KRQE) – The suspect shot by an officer in Santa Rosa on Tuesday is out of the hospital and in jail.

Kenny Silvers, 20, of Oklahoma is facing charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer.

An officer with Santa Rosa Police shot Silvers after a suspicious vehicle call at the Railyard led to a chase.

State Police is now investigating the incident.
