Man accused of robbing teen

ROSWELL N.M. (KRQE) – A Roswell man is behind bars accused of robbing a 15-year-old at gunpoint.

James Ortega, 23, was arrested after an officer found him in a parking lot on North Virginia holding the neck of the 15-year-old.

The teen told police Ortega had a gun and demanded his wallet.

Ortega tried to get away from police, but ran into a pole.

Roswell police have been able to link Ortega to three car burglaries in the same parking lot.
