Eldorado girls win district on final shot

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Another page was written in the storied rivalry of La Cueva and Eldorado Tuesday night. The two teams played a district two 5A tiebreaker that looked like a La Cueva victory.

La Cueva would lead 64 to 63 with only 1.7 left on the clock.

Eldorado had to take the ball out from the opposite side of the floor.

Once the ball was thrown in, Eldorado’s Caitlin Duree took it upon herself to try the 70-foot heave. She was money, leading Eldorado to a shocking 66 to 64 victory.
