CNM students talk trash

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Students at Central New Mexico Community College spent the day getting their hands dirty and talking trash Wednesday all for a good cause.

CNM hosted Recyclemania, a recycling event to raise awareness about the impact of recycling.

Today’s event, Mount Trashmore gave students the chance to sort through several days’ worth of garbage and take in an important lesson in recycling.

“This is an event student sort through trash, find recyclable material that’s been thrown into the trash as a way to illustrate how much recyclable material we actually dispose of that could go to our reclamation center,” CNM Instructor of English Carson Bennett said.
