AG: ITT Tech ripped of nursing students

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The New Mexico attorney general is going after ITT Technical Institute, saying it ripped off nursing students.

Attorney General Gary King says ITT Tech has a high percentage of New Mexico students who were unable to complete the program or cannot get a job because their ITT credits will not transfer to colleges or universities.

King says that has forced students to start all over at another school, leaving them with high student loan debt.

The complaint also says ITT’s nursing program is not accredited, falsely marketed it to students as being accredited, and charged students for tools that were outdated and unusable.

The complaint is seeking civil penalties and restitution for affected students.
