Still no verdict in Santiago trial

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – After nearly two full days of deliberation, there is still no verdict in the Ronald Santiago trial.

Santiago is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of his clients Greg and Bernadette Ohlemacher in 2005.

The couple was shot to death in their home.

The jury got the case on Friday morning, after six weeks of testimony.

Prosecutors tried to convince the jury that Santiago killed the couple when they suspected something wasn’t right with their mortgage deal.

Santiago’s attorneys tried to convince the jury the couple’s daughter is the killer.
