Girls say man threatened to kill them

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man is behind bars, accused of threatening to kill two Albuquerque teenagers.

Police say 36-year-old Nilsson Wood pulled out a knife and was threatening the kids near Yale and Avenida Cesar Chavez.

The 15-year-old and his friend told officers Wood approached them on a basketball court where they were playing, pulled out the knife, said he hated Muslims and was going to kill them.

When police arrived, they found the knife in Woods’ jacket.

According to the criminal complaint, he was drunk.

He’s now facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse charges.
