City replaces flag at community center

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The empty flag pole is empty no more.

The American flag was flying once more at the city’s Valle del Norte Community Center on Monday.

A neighbor named Clyde Aragon contacted KRQE News 13 last week, saying the center had not flown the flag for months.

He also said he made repeated calls to the city asking how come and that no one ever called him back.

On Friday, the city said staffers misdirected his questions and promised they’d have a new flag flying by Monday.
