APD: Cop shoots dog that bit 3 teens

APD says cop shot dog that bit 3 teens

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Around 3 p.m. Monday, three teens say they were bit on their legs by a dog that was running toward a charter school near Wendell and Blake Southwest, according to APD.

APD says when police arrived, one officer tried to mace the animal, but when the dog continued to charge, the officer shot and killed it.

The teens refused ambulance care, police say, but the dog is being tested for rabies because it was foaming at the mouth.
