Coach's home destroyed after team wins

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE)- A high school basketball coach is picking up the pieces now. Friday he learned his home burned down minutes after he won a district championship.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports Tommy Morrow, the Mayfield High School varsity basketball coach, was giving a post game interview and cut it short when he found out about the fire.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office says the home was completely engulfed by the time fire crews arrived.

Morrow has coached at Mayfield for 15 years. He has a wife and four kids.
