Roswell campus gets imagination playground

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Kids in southeastern New Mexico got a big surprise Friday.

The Eastern New Mexico University campus in Roswell was awarded the state’s very first imagination play set.

The set includes over-sized blue foam parts that children can connect and build into different structures.

Kids at the university’s child development center got to try out the new toys Friday morning and really put their minds to the test.

“Kids get to use their imagination to build castles, to build whatever their imagination brings, just so they are active and being a part of building something together as a team,” said Consuelo Blogh-Cowdr of Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico. “It’s just exciting and it’s fun for the kids.”

Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico and Kaboom donated the playground in an effort to encourage Roswell kids to have a more active lifestyle.
