He was returned to Susan Burns and her husband, John Neiman, on Friday morning.

On Tuesday, Burns had Valentino and their three dogs in her SUV when she crashed on Highway 41 in Santa Fe.

A friend found two of the dogs next morning, but Valentino was gone. A couple says they found the dog recently near the crash site.

They returned him and collected the $2,000 reward.

Neiman says Valentino was a little dirty and had lost a little bit of weight, but he is OK.

As for Burns, she broke her collar bone and a foot in the crash. She is now recovering at home.
